Born and raised in Chicago, Nick was exposed to the pioneers of house music from a very early age, something that is evident in his 'classic' production sound. Since his introduction to electronic dance music, Nick has developed and honed his skills as a DJ and producer, appearing at multiple venues in Chicago and throughout the country including Cherry Red, Wax, Mission, The Gramercy, Urban Lounge, 609, C-Haus, Sea Sound in Seattle, Dante’s in St.Louis, Upstairs Lounge, and Vision Nightclub in Chicago. As a Dj, Nick firmly embodies the 'journeyman' theory, taking crowds on a unique trip with his blend of deep techy grooves and an uplifting progressive styles. He has also had the privilege to open up for several notable acts such as Josh Gabriel, Dave Dresden, Kaskade, and Oscar G. On the production front, Nick has releases on Audio Logic, Cr2, Baroque, Nightshade, Proton and Solaris. Accolades include winning a recent Dj Mag competition to remix Mark Brown’s “New Heights”, which featured Nick’s remix on Cr2. Furthermore, Nick’s track “Kings Of Dirty Gold” was featured on Pete Tong’s “Fast Trax”. His sound bears all the hallmarks of the halcyon days of Sasha, Nick Warren and early G.U compilations, with its intrinsic attention to detail, spaciousness, intelligent progressive arrangements and genre defying structures. Recently Nick partnered up with long time friend Mike Birney to co-found Symmetric Music, scheduled to put out the labels first release this summer. With several more remixes and productions to be released in the near future, Nick shows great promise and a bright future to share his music with the world.
